How to Apply Your BootInk

No special tools, no mess, no stress.

Surface Instructions

Clean Your Boots First:

  • Remove all dirt, mud, and debris with a damp cloth
  • Wipe away oils and any left over debris with included priming wipe
  • Let boots air dry completely (15-20 minutes minimum) or dry with micro-fiber cloth

Best Surfaces for Application:

  • Clean leather (natural or synthetic)
  • Dry synthetic materials
  • Smooth, flat areas of the boot

Bad Surfaces for Application:

  • Avoid textured or heavily creased areas
  • Avoid fabrics or knit materials

Application Tips

Before You Start:

  • Plan your placement - measure twice, apply once
  • Have a clean cloth ready for smoothing
  • Work in good lighting to see air bubbles clearly

Pressure Application Technique:

  • Position the transfer exactly where you want it
  • Press firmly for 10 - 15 seconds with your thumb
  • Apply even pressure across the entire area

Removing The Carrier Film

  • Wait 60 seconds after applying pressure
  • Peel the clear carrier film slowly from one corner
  • Transfer should stay firmly attached to boot
  • If any part lifts, press down again and re-peel

Care Instructions

First Hour:

  • Initial Bond: Immediate (you can handle boots right away)
  • Full Cure: 1-2 hours for maximum strength
  • Game Ready: You can play immediately, but we recommend 2 hours to ensure the strongest bond

Recommended: Apply transfers the night before games for best results.

Maintenance:

Cleaning is simple and won't damage your transfers:

  • Wipe with damp cloth or boot cleaning wipes
  • You can use standard boot cleaners

DO NOT: Put boots through washing machines or soak completely underwater.

What to Avoid:

  • Don't pick at the edges once applied - Once the seal is broken the BootInk's strength is weakened
  • Avoid excessive scrubbing directly on the transfer
