Application and Installation

How do I apply BootInk transfers?

Complete Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Clean: Use included alcohol wipe to clean boot surface
  2. Dry: Wipe completely dry 
  3. Peel: Remove the release layer (bottom non-sticky layer)
  4. Position: Place design exactly where you want it
  5. Rub: Firmly rub entire design for 10 seconds minimum
  6. Remove: Slowly peel away the transfer layer
  7. Bond: Let sit 1-2 hours for complete bonding 

Included in Every Order: Alcohol cleaning wipe and detailed instructions

 

Important: Ensure boots are completely clean and dry before starting. Any moisture or dirt will prevent proper bonding.

What boot materials and brands work with BootInk?

No special tools required! Everything you need comes with your order:

What if I make a mistake during application?

Prevention is key: Our process is designed to be foolproof when instructions are followed.

  • Crooked placement: Take time to position carefully before pressing

  • Premature removal: Rub for full 10 seconds before removing transfer layer

Can transfers be repositioned once applied?

No, transfers cannot be repositioned. Once the adhesive contacts the boot surface, the bond begins immediately. This is why positioning is crucial before pressing down. 

 

Tip: Hold the transfer in position without pressing to check placement before committing.

How long does the transfer take to fully bond?

  • Initial Bond: Immediate (you can handle boots right away)
  • Full Cure: 1-2 hours for maximum strength
  • Game Ready: You can play immediately, but optimal performance after 2 hours 

Recommended: Apply transfers the night before games for best results.

How long do BootInk transfers last?

Properly applied BootInk transfers will last:

  • Multiple seasons of regular play
  • 200+ hours of game time
  • 500+ training sessions

Season Guarantee: If your transfer fails before a full season ends, we'll refund your money.

How do I clean my boots after applying transfers?

Cleaning is simple and won't damage your transfers:

  • Wipe with damp cloth or boot cleaning wipes
  • Use standard boot cleaners and conditioners
  • Brush off dried mud and grass
  • Air dry naturally 

DO NOT: Put boots through washing machines or soak completely underwater.

Can I remove transfers if I want to change designs?

Yes, transfers can be removed cleanly. Here's how:

  1. Use a thin edge (credit card, plastic scraper)
  2. Gently lift one corner of the transfer
  3. Slowly peel away the design

What happens if my transfer gets damaged during play?

BootInk transfers are designed for aggressive play. 

 

They're built to withstand:

  • Slide tackles and boot-to-boot contact
  • Artificial turf friction
  • Stud marks and scratches
  • Ball impact at high speeds 

If a transfer is damaged through normal play within the first season, contact us for a replacement under our guarantee.

Ordering and Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major payment methods:

  • Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express
  • Debit Cards: All major debit cards
  • PayPal: Full PayPal integration
  • Digital Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay
  • Bank Transfer: Available for large orders 

Currency: 

  • Store currency dependent on customer location
  • All all orders are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD)
  • International cards automatically convert. 

 

Not Available: Buy-now-pay-later services (Afterpay, Klarna, etc.) are not currently accepted.

Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?

Order changes are possible but time-sensitive: 

 

Within 2 Hours of Ordering:

  • Design changes possible
  • Shipping address modifications
  • Quantity adjustments 

After Production Begins:

  • No modifications possible
  • Cancellation not available
  • Orders must be completed as originally placed

What if I enter the wrong shipping address?

Address corrections depend on timing: 

 

Before Shipping (within 1-3 days):

  • Contact us immediately for address changes
  • We can update shipping details at no charge
  • Provide correct address via email 

After Shipping:

  • Cannot redirect packages in transit
  • Packages returned to sender incur reshipping fees
  • Undeliverable packages may be lost

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location.

How long does shipping take?

Delivery Times:

  • Australia: 4-7 business days (excluding business days)
  • New Zealand: 6-10 business days (excluding business days)
  • International: 6-12 business (excluding business days)
  • Custom Designs: Add 2 extra business days for artwork creation 

Business days: Monday-Friday (AEST), excluding Australian public holidays.

What is your return policy if I am not satisfied?

We offer a 30-day risk-free trial - you can even use them in games! 

 

If your BootInk doesn't last a full season as promised, we'll refund your money.

 

Note: we can't refund application mistakes or damage during installation. 

How do I request a return or refund?

Simple return process:

  1. Email info@bootink.com with order number
  2. Explain reason for return
  3. We review within 24 hours
  4. Return instructions provided if approved
  5. Ship items back with tracking
  6. Refund processed within 3-5 business days

What items are eligible for return?

Eligible for return:

  • Defective transfers or quality issues
  • Wrong items shipped
  • Damaged during transit
  • Unsatisfied with result (if matches order)
  • Transfer peels during normal use 

Not eligible:

  • Application mistakes by customer
  • Damage during customer installation
  • Returns after 30 days
  • Used transfers you simply changed mind about

How long do refunds take to process?

  • Refund processing: 3-5 business days after we receive items
  • Bank/card processing: Additional 2-7 business days
  • PayPal refunds: 1-2 business days

What if the transfer fails during the season?

Season guarantee coverage:

  • Full refund if transfer fails before season ends
  • No questions asked policy
  • Keep the failed transfer (photos helpful)
  • Contact us immediately when failure occurs This guarantee covers manufacturing defects, not application errors.

Do I have to pay return shipping?

Return shipping responsibility:

  • Our error (wrong item, defective): We pay return shipping
  • Quality issues/manufacturing defects: We pay return shipping
  • Customer dissatisfaction (item matches order): Customer pays return
  • International returns: Customer pays return

What if my transfer does not stick properly?

If applied correctly following our instructions, BootInk transfers bond permanently. If you experience adhesion issues despite proper application, contact us immediately for a replacement. 

 

Common causes of adhesion issues:

  • Boot surface not properly cleaned
  • Moisture on boot during application
  • Not rubbing for full 10 seconds
  • Removing transfer layer too quickly

What if I have problems with my order after business hours?

Send us an email at info@bootink.com anytime! While our business hours are 8am-10pm AEST Monday-Friday, we check emails regularly and respond as quickly as possible.

What if the colors don't match what I see on screen?

Color accuracy information:

  • Colors may vary between screens and actual product
  • We use professional color matching systems
  • Minor variations are normal
  • Significant color issues are covered under guarantee
  • Contact us if colors are substantially different

What happens if I accidentally damage the transfer during application?

Application damage policy:
